IBONELAB SL is a technology-based company that was born as a Spin-off of the University of Santiago de Compostela. IBONELAB is focused on the analysis of the interaction of the body’s hard tissues with implantable materials. Our main clients are companies and public institutions dedicated to the development of biomaterials, bone substitutes, dental and trauma implants, as well as other devices or treatments related to calcified or non-calcified tissues. The extensive knowledge of the sector, with more than 20 years of experience from the USC Experimental Surgery research group, makes them expertly evaluate the interaction of these materials in tissues, providing joint research solutions to meet the needs of companies. biotechnology companies and national and foreign research groups.

Areas/Lines R+D+i

Its lines of research will focus on three pillars: Carrying out preclinical tests that allow obtaining tissue samples to be studied; High resolution microtomographic analysis for non-destructive three-dimensional evaluation of samples; and the performance of histological and histomorphometric studies that allow microscopic observation of the tissues and the interaction with the implanted materials.
