The biotechnology sector in Galicia and Northern Portugal is largely made up of Startups; leading companies not only at the regional level, but also nationally and internationally, thanks to the innovative products and services they provide.
Many of these companies have emerged in recent years from the scientific and research field or as spin-offs from other companies and have led to remarkably successful business initiatives.
Some of these startups are particularly active in the field of research, which results in the development of new business lines or biotechnology activities that seek funding for their development. Their projects are reflected in the “bio projects” section of this Portal.
